Nurture your heart this Valentine's Day

Nurture your heart this Valentine's Day

Happy February - also known as Heart Health Month! ❤️ Heart Health is so important for all ages and we encourage you to care for your heart as early as possible; it’s never too late to start!

Healthy eating and exercise are the best ways to care for your cardiovascular system. If you’re experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness, feeling lightheaded, or pain that radiates in the arm, shoulder, neck, back and or chest, please don’t ignore it. We can perform electrocardiograms here at CFP if you need one. Also, please be aware that diabetes and heart disease are closely related.

This month, when you’re in for a yearly exam or cardiovascular related office visit, please ask, we can offer an in-house electrocardiogram 50% off.

Also for February, we’re running a special on MitoQ (and MitoQ Heart), which Connie highly recommends for heart health, for 30% off (discount applied when you check out).
  • MitoQ's Unique formula helps re-energize and revitalize cells to support optimal heart and blood vessel health.
  • Delivers targeted CoQ10 antioxidant support to your mitochondria - the power plants of your cells - to help your organs perform at their best.
  • Breakthrough wellness technology that is absorbed by your mitochondria hundreds of times more effectively than regular CoQ10 supplements.
  • Supports our natural ability to combat the harmful effects of free radicals and the damage they can cause to our bodies.

Some of our favorite Heart-Health supplments:

Below are some suggestions for Heart Health from our CFP practitioners.

Acupuncture helps to soothe the body and Peggy Ghorbani L.Ac our acupuncturist,  says “I can’t stress enough the importance of calming the nervous system and having healthy sleep routines.”  She’s also a huge fan of Omega-3s!

Christine Chen, DO -
“Get moving! Even a little exercise makes a difference for your physical and mental health.”

Elliot Trester, MD -
“Exercise! Know your family’s health history and listen to it and generally, a Mediterranean style diet is recommended.”

Connie Ryan, WHNP -
“MitoQ is one of the most powerful supplements we offer for heart health. For women  balancing hormones in early perimenopause and continuing to keep them balanced  long term is one of the best gifts you can give to your heart.”
Eva Montes, PA-C -
" Prevention and early intervention for pre-diabetes and hypertension (metabolic syndrome) helps to prevent and delay onset heart disease. Tracking yearly fasting glucose, hemoglobin A1c and Lipids as well as  your blood pressure is not expensive and gives you so much information about your heart health."
