We now have a Quest Lab located inside of our office. This allows not only our cash-pay patients, but also those who use their insurance for labs to use Quest within our office for blood work. You no longer have to go to another location. We are excited to be able to expand our services in this way!
CAUTION: For those of you with insurance, it will often be less expensive to pay “out-of-pocket” for labs. CFP’s contracted prices with Quest are much lower than what you will pay if your insurance denies coverage because it does not deem the tests “medically necessary” or because CFP is out-of-network. If your insurance denies coverage, you will pay what is called “delayed billing prices” which are 100-600% higher than what you would otherwise pay when you pay CFP directly at the time of service.
Please come for your labs prepared to tell us whether you plan to pay cash or have Quest bill your insurance. We cannot answer questions about your individual insurance plan’s pricing, or whether your lab tests will be covered. Just as you have always done in the past, you need to contact your insurance company or the Quest Billing department at 1-800-377-8448 if you need help deciding whether or not to use it.
